Form of Pegula shown, passes Rybakina for most wins on WTA Tour in 2023

Jessica Pegula earned another win in Charleston and with it the American passed Elena Rybakina for the most wins on the Tour so far.

Pegula has been playing on a very high level for over a year but the consistency is something that is really remarkable. She's been the 3rd best player for much of last year establishing herself as a consistent powerhouse that rarely disappoints. It's been like that this year too as the American rarely crashes out early and regularly reaches the final stages of events.

The win over Badosa was her 22nd win of the year which is the most right now as Rybakina currently sits at 21. Pegula has an overall score of 22 wins and only 6 losses with the semifinal her 5th of the year and the only event she lost before the quarter-finals was the Indian Wells Masters. A truly incredible level right now with even Bencic complimenting her:

She will contest the Charleston semi-final later today.
