Canadian tennis star
Eugenie Bouchard will have to put her comeback on hold as she failed to qualify for the main draw at this year's
Wimbledon Championships.
A runner-up in 2014, Bouchard fell to Belgian Greet Mirren in the first round of qualifying for this year's event. The 29-year old has been dealing with injuries over the past year and was hoping to rebuild her career, after seeing her ranking drop outside of the top 300.
The former World No.5's last victory on the WTA tour came at the Madrid Open in April, where she defeated Dayana Yastremska in the opening round. However, Bouchard would fall in the next round to Martina Trevisan, and has failed to qualify for the main draw of a WTA-level event since April.
