Retired Australian tennis star Ashleigh Barty recently gave birth to her first child, and the tennis community showed their support by pouring in several heartwarming comments on social media.

Barty, who hung up her racket last year, had her first child with husband Gary Kissick, who took to social media to share the good news.

"Our beautiful boy ❤️ Welcome to the world, Hayden!" he wrote alongside a photo of the baby boy.

The official Australian Open tennis social media page responded with a heartwarming message saying it was Barty's 'greatest triumph. Congratulations.'

Not to be outdone, Wimbledon's Twitter account asked 'Future Wimbledon champ? Congratulations!'

Several of Barty's peers and former rivals also chimed in with wholesome messages.

"Congrats Ash and Garry," wrote fellow Aussie Sam Stosur
