Gauff stopped by Blinkova, Ostapenko overcomes McNally in Luxembourg

Coco Gauff lost in the first round of the Luxembourg Open after the triumph in Linz the previous week.
The third day of play in Luxembourg featured many interesting matches as Coco Gauff, Julia Goerges, Caty McNally and also Jelena Ostapenko fought for the place in the next round.
Wednesday was not a successful day for the young American talents McNally and Gauff. Both were stopped by their opponents, but they continue in doubles where they advanced into the quarterfinals together.
Jelena Ostapenko followed up on her good form from Linz, where she reached the final, with a victory over the oldest from the American McNally duo.
