2020 Virtual Madrid Open promises to be a great competition. Nadal, Isner, Murray, and Pouille were now joined by David Goffin and Karen Khachanov. In women's part of the tournament, Kristina Mladenovic and Eugenie Bouchard joined Suarez Navarro, Kerber, Ferro and Bertens.
“I’m delighted to take part in the first edition of the Mutua Madrid Open Virtual tennis tournament. We all need to adapt in these challenging times and we can only appreciate this initiative which will help players struggling financially," said Mladenovic.
“I like to play tennis, be it on court or online. This initiative is interesting and it will bring back some competition in our sport. I’m looking forward to challenging my fellow players and show my skills to tennis fans around the world." said Khachanov.
