"Going for my revenge" - Jabeur ahead of Charleston 2 final

Ons Jabeur came very close to winning the Volvo Car Open in Charleston last week but in today's final, she is going for revenge.

It was a disappointing end to a great run last week for Ons Jabeur but she will be looking to right that wrong today. After another great week of tennis, she is in the final of the Charleston two event where she will play Astra Sharma. Jabeur never won a title before and she desperately wants to win which she confirmed prior to the match:

“I’m definitely going for my revenge. I’m going to really play like I never played before. I really want this win.”

She certainly played like that this week trashing delivering bagel sets to three different opponents including yesterday against Kovinic.

Continuing on the final she said:

“I mean, I guess saying it out loud helps me like get the confidence that I need. I lost a lot of matches before in those kinds of situations where stress more than it’s supposed to be. So I tried to learn from my last match [against Kovinic]. I had a lot of opportunities before and I don’t want to waste any opportunities anymore.”

This final will be the first meeting between the two players. Her opponent Sharma played strong tennis all week and is having a very solid year but as a player ranked lower than Jabeur she will be the underdog. The final will be played at 20:00 CET.
