Group stages concluded at WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai - Bertens against Zheng and Muchova versus Sabalenka confirmed for semi-finals

The Group Stages have been concluded at the WTA Elite Trophy in Zhuhai with the semi-finals confirmed to take place tomorrow.
It will see Kiki Bertens face off against Zheng Saisai and Karolina Muchova take on Aryna Sabalenka.
Bertens who is number one seed came through after previous victories over Donna Vekic and Dayana Yastremska yesterday in moving through.
Petra Martic defeated Zheng Saisai but because Saisai won at least seven games in defeat, she moved through.
Zheng though produced some brilliant tennis with her back against the wall in the final set to claim the legs she needed.
Karolina Muchova had already qualified after victories over Alison Riske and Sofia Kenin but it was Sabalenka who came out winner in the deciding match against Elise Mertens.
Now the four will battle it out to conclude a tournament which has been an intriguing one due to the different format.
