Halep will now take on Elena Rybakina who defeated Petra Martic earlier today in a complete polar opposite to this match with the Kazakh ace being a break down in both sets and forcing tiebreaks in both which she won.
For the Wimbledon champion, she ended the run of Brady who was exceptional this week in Dubai; despite not quite fulfilling that in the semi-finals.
Halep won over 3/4 of points on her first serve; she only faced two break points in the match at all. The difference though came on the unforced errors column with Brady who had beaten three top 20 players in a row to get to this point; hitting 14 which was twice her winners total.
This was compared to the Romanian ace who hit 16 winners to eight unforced errors; which ultimately proved the difference on the day.
The final though might not be as simple a task for the World Number Two though with Rybakina a player firmly on the rise and reaching every non Grand Slam final she has played in this year, it should be an interesting conclusion to a brilliant week of tennis in Dubai.
