16-year-old Mirra Andreeva announced herself to the world of tennis with an impressive showing at the Madrid Open but her run ended when she met Aryna Sabalenka.
Andreeva couldn't overcome Sabalenka in part because nobody could that two weeks. The Belarusian ended up in the final beating Swiatek in a fascinating match to lift another Madrid Open trophy. While Andreeva earned some impressive wins at the event, Sabalenka proved too much for her and she had a really colourful way of describing the match.

Good lesson

Speaking to the Tennis Channel panel following her win at Roland Garros, Andreeva admitted:
“Honestly, she kicked my ass. I'm sorry, but she really did! I guess it was a good lesson if I'm here now. Maybe if I will play her, then I can take revenge. Who knows? So, we will see.”
It was a very good lesson and one that Andreeva hopes will help her in getting where she wants to be. She's certainly he biggest buzz right now at Roland Garros earning fans at a rapid pace. Her good play certainly contributes to that and many are eager to see what will happen in the coming weeks.
