Jabeur’s artistry was on full display in her 6-2, 6-3 triumph, which earned her a place in the
Wimbledon fourth round for a second consecutive year.
The 27-year-old is currently on an eight-match winning streak, having picked up the title on the lawns of Berlin two weeks ago, and has dropped just 13 games through three clashes so far this Fortnight at Wimbledon. Speaking after the match she said:
“It was a great match for me. It’s tough to play young, talented players like her, especially on a great court that I love so much. I’m very happy I got the win in two sets and hopefully, I continue playing this way.
Jabeur further added that she loves the ability to inspire others, especially kids:
“I always love life, it’s not just when I’m doing well. I
like to inspire kids, young women, young men, who want to be here one
day; from my country, the Arab world, the African continent. It’s a
pleasure for me and hopefully I’m sending a great message.”
