Rick Macci expressed interest in working with Emma Raducanu, stating that he can help her "win again and again." The former coach of Serena Williams has praised the 2021 US Open champion multiple times and, through social media, conveyed his interest in collaborating with Raducanu, believing he can assist her in improving her results.
The young British player rose to prominence in the tennis world after her incredible campaign at Flushing Meadows, where she, coming from the qualifying rounds, clinched the trophy by winning ten consecutive matches, all in straight sets.

However, Raducanu struggled to maintain the same level and had an inconsistent 2022, facing several injuries that kept her away from the WTA Tour. This year, she last played at the Stuttgart Open, where she exited in the second round against Jelena Ostapenko.
Following that, she announced that she would be taking some time off to undergo surgery on both wrists and return physically stronger. Nevertheless, Raducanu has confirmed her comeback in 2024, although without a specific date.
