Nick Kyrgios has never been one to censor his thoughts, but the Australian took a much softer tone when describing WTA icon Venus Williams, describing her as "a true legend".
The former World No.13 teamed with Williams at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships, as the duo displayed an unlikely but fun partnership during the mixed doubles event. Although they were forced to withdraw in the second round due to a Kyrgios injury, the Aussie was quick to elaborate on how much he enjoyed spending time with the American.
"I had great moments with her in London," revealed Kyrgios on his No Boundaries podcast. "She is a very nice person and she loves the NBA, as I do. I consider her a true legend and I would go to dinner with her."
The Australian, now ranked World No.90, has not played competitive tennis since suffering an injury at the Laver Cup in September but is set to return by next year's Australian Open, which runs from January 17-30, 2022.
