Former World No.1 Venus Williams recently admitted she did not want to become a tennis coach when she hangs up her racket.
The seven-time Grand Slam champion has a career that has spanned over two decades and is one of the most knowledgeable players on tour. However, the 42-year old revealed she would rather explore other opportunities upon retirement.

Williams would prefer to give advice to younger players

"I do not want to be a full-time tennis coach because I’ve spent so much time on tennis and it’s really important to explore other things in life," said the WTA icon on her official YouTube channel. "But I would love to give advice to anyone who wants it and spend some time on the court with young people.
"And I actually love spending time on the court with beginners."
Furthermore, Williams advised everyone to have a backup plan, should tennis not work out.
“I was a nerd," she added. "I loved school, I didn't wanna leave school & when I got in high school I was like ‘I wish I was still there.’ The most important part is you don’t know what your future is, so you have to have a backup plan."
