British tennis star Emma Raducanu has given fans an update on her potential return to the WTA tour, and spoke about her hopes of competing at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
The 2021 US Open champion has been on the sidelines for the bulk of the 2023 season, after undergoing surgeries on her wrists and ankles. Currently ranked at World No.208, Raducanu spoke about her Olympic aspirations in an interview with BBC.
The 20-year old stated although she loves competing in Majors, she would like to qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris next year.
"I love the Slams but I do want to have the Olympic experience," she said. "I'll just see how it goes if I even qualify, and how it goes from there.
"Obviously, the Olympics is such a big thing in sport. I think I could play another four if I really wanted to, so this one isn't the immediate rush or pressure, it's just about getting back on the court."
