"I feel you, Emma" - Genie Bouchard shows support for Raducanu following sponsor criticism

Great Britain's Emma Raducanu has come under fire recently for allegedly focusing on her sponsorship deals instead of tennis, but Eugenie Bouchard seems to empathize with the reigning US Open champion.

Since her ascent into the limelight following her surprise victory at Flushing Meadows last September, Raducanu has been signed numerous endorsement deals with the likes of Tiffany's, Dior and British Airways. However, her on-court performance has been subpar, leading to many to suggest she focus more on improving her game.

This led to Raducanu revealing in an interview that people assumed she does not train or practice hard enough, simply because she posts images celebrating her various sponsorships. Bouchard responded to one of these excerpts on twitter, with the caption "I feel you, Emma 😅".

The same criticisms were said about Bouchard, who rose to prominence after reaching the 2014 Wimbledon final, before losing to Petra Kvitova. The Canadian was thrust into the spotlight after her runner-up finish, racking up endorsement deals but failed to live up to expectations in the seasons that followed.
