After the news broke that she would no longer with working with her coach Tom Hill, American tennis star Peyton Stearns showed she was still in good spirits as she updated her social media bio.
The 23-year old and Hill announced they would be parting ways on Tuesday, with Hill taking to social media to say his goodbyes. The duo had been a team since April last year, with Hill helping Stearns to her maiden WTA title in Rabat a few weeks later. Subsequently Stearns would climb from outside the top 80 to World No.44 in the WTA rankings, in addition to scoring her first top 10 win when she defeated World No.8 Qinwen Zheng earlier this year.

Stearns remains in good spirits

Hill would be the first to announce their split, taking to social media to thank Stearns and wish her good luck.
"After a great 12 months together, I’ve made the decision to end my coaching partnership with Peyton,” Hill wrote on Instagram, sharing a photo of them during a match. “I’m incredibly proud of everything we achieved together: Her first WTA title, career-high rankings in both singles and doubles, and her first Top 10 win. I’m very grateful to have been a part of her journey and to have seen her grow both on and off the court.
"Thank you, Peyton, for the hard work, trust, and all the memories. You’re not just an amazing player, but a truly wonderful person whom I’m lucky to call a friend. Wishing you nothing but the best moving forward. A great future awaits you!”
Hours later Stearns would address the situation by updating her Twitter bio to read: “I play tennis and need a coach.” Furthermore, she would post a gif, stating her DM's were open in her quest for a new coach.
