Victoria Azarenka demolished Elina Svitolina 6-0 6-2 in just 67 minutes of play and after the match, she admitted that her plan worked great.
It was a dominant display from Azarenka who generally tends to win her matchups against Svitolina but this time around it was particularly impressive. Only 67 minutes and only two games lost for the Belarussian who admitted after the match that she executed her plan very well:
"I thought I was really well-executing my game plan. I wanted to put as much pressure as I could on her and kind of not let her come into the match. She's an amazing fighter. I know if I give her a little room, she's going to get back out there. That was my purpose today, and I think I executed that well."
Her next opponent will be Barbora Krejcikova who has been playing good tennis as well and that match should be a proper delight. Both can hit the ball hard and both have very precise shots. Azarenka is playing a bit better and she has won here before so she should have the edge.
