Iga Swiatek continues her dominant run at Roland Garros

Iga Swiatek played another strong match to take down Claire Liu in straight sets 6-4 6-0 securing a third round of the Roland Garros event.

Swiatek's first match in Paris was a win over Bucsa and that match finished 6-4 6-0 as well. This match finished with the exact same score as the Polish superstar continued her spectacular run at the event. A two-time champion in Paris, Swiatek is once again showing a really high level of dominating opponents from the baseline.

Claire Liu actually won a set from Swiatek the first time they played together and she showed some fight here as well. After falling behind 0-3 Liu managed to battle back and make it 3-3 and therefore quite interesting. The Polish player didn't think anything of it and kept pushing and pressing eventually getting the break she needed.

It looked quite similar to how the match against Bucsa went, especailly after she asserted full control in the second set.

The second set was quite impressive for the Polish player as she completely took apart the game of Liu handing her another bagel. Iga has been getting used to handing out bagels by simply playing her game and not even trying. She confirmed that it's not anything she tries to do but it rather happens. When you have 9 winners and your opponent has 10 unforced errors it's just going to happen.

Either way a really strong performance from the Polish player who moves on.
