Iga Swiatek has been a very active player off the courts focusing on mainly charitable efforts which earned her a nomination for the UN Women award.
The Polish player has been very outspoken about her desire to help people and being the top player in the world certainly gives her the platform to do so. Just recently at the Ostrava Open, Swiatek pledged all her prize money to a Polish non-profit organization focusing on mental health.
Her own mental health has been a subject of many discussions as he openly talked about using a sports psychologist to overcome some of the doubts she had in her own career.
She also auctioned off several of her personal items to donate to various charitable causes and raised a tremendous amount of money for the victims of the War in Ukraine.
Due to her efforts, Swiatek was nominated for the UN Women award in the category of 'good health and wellbeing.
