"I'm ready to work harder" says Halep after another Australian Open win

Simona Halep played another great match to win in straight sets and move on to the next round and the Romanian is ready for more.
It's been a fairly good Australian Open so far for Simona Halep who won two matches rather easily to find herself in the third round. She defeated Haddad Maia 6-2 6-0 to move on and after the match admitted that she is ready for more work and more great matches. It's been a great thing seeing Halep enjoy tennis again after a very frustrating 2021 year that she missed due to injury.
She said:
"I enjoy tennis. I am 30 so I'm older now and I can enjoy this sport more. I'm just more relaxed now. Last year was not easy with the injury. I stay away for three or four months and I suffered. But I'm back stronger now and I am ready to work harder and get ready to play some good matches here."
The shift in mentality is something Halep talked about a few times in the past several weeks admitting that she feels more in tune with tennis this way. It's certainly a shift in perspective that has done her well so far and time will tell how far will it carry her.
