A good week of tennis at the
Internationaux de Strasbourg is coming to an end but the final match is one that could hardly be better.
The Internationaux de Strasbourg is coming to an end and the last match that will be played will be the final match between Rybakina and Svitolina. They are in the final because they were the two best players the past week and it truly is that way.
This is the first final for Rybakina since early in the season and the Kazakhi player deserved it. En route to the final, she played 4 matches and in those 4 she didn't drop one single set. She defeated Minnen, Cornet, Zhang and Hibino. She served well throughout and played very well from the baseline. When those two parts of her game click she usually wins and she did so far.
Elina Svitolina reached the final after only playing three matches thanks to her high seeding and in those three matches, she looked very good. She did drop a set yesterday but in it, she played quite bad and she still lost it only by 6-4. She didn't serve on a high note during the week but she was very clinical when it mattered the most. She returned exceptionally well which might prove key against a good server like Svitolina.
The final is a tough one to predict but many agree that Svitolina is the favourite ahead of this one. They never played against each other so this will be their first match and it should be a good one.
