"It was a crazy level today. I’m super happy with the win" - Sabalenka after beating Danielle Collins

Aryna Sabalenka was 3-0 before this matchup against Danielle Collins and she improved to 4-0 after last night.

It was a well-contested match that went the full distance and saw Sabalenka battle back after dropping the first set. It was a huge disappointment for Collins who looked in control after the first match but Sabalenka did not give up:

“I was just trying my best. I was trying to serve well. I was trying to make her move. I was just trying to stay in this match as much as I could. She played unbelievable tennis. It was a crazy level today. I’m super happy with the win. She’s tough to play against.”

Up next is Karolina Pliskova, a player that has beaten Sabaelnka twice before. Sabalenka beat her twice as well but both of those wins happened in 2018. The last two matches, both played last year, were won by Pliskova.
