Polish tennis superstar Iga Swiatek has admitted it will take her time to get adjust to the life as the world No. 1 but she is happy to be going through an experience like this.
This Monday, Swiatek officially became the world No. 1 for the first time in her career and while always a dream it's something she has never experienced and it will take some time to adjust. She reflected on the experience on Twitter writing:
"So, here we are. One day I'm just 100 per cent focused on my
performance during another match and the next day I'm realizing how to
live as No. 1. It's a lot to take in and I'm working through it day by
day at my own pace. It will take some time but on the other hand
I'm very excited. There last few weeks were interesting, crazy and
hard-core but I'm happy that I was also able to have some quality time
in Miami after the final. Now it's time to get back to work."

- Having spent weeks and weeks through the years on tour, I can say with confidence that Conchita was (is) one of the very few who realize the surprising level of maturity (and sometimes lack of) which Mirra seems to have developed in such a demanding adult world of Pro-Tennis. While at the same time reminding herself (Conchita, that is) that Mirra is still young and developing mentally and physically. The general public may forget at times, or not at all realize, these modern era young athletes do not have a 'normal' Youth. It's a major sacrifice, among countless sacrifices, these athletes must make.
