Taking part in the Tennis Channel confessional segment Swiatek was asked a question but she elected to flip and answer with Rafael Nadal.
Women's tennis in 2022 had one and only dominator: Iga Swiatek. With Ashleigh Barty's decision to retire, the Polish tennis player has become world number one. The 2001-born tennis player has won all three of the WTA 1000s that have been scheduled so far: Doha, Indian Wells and Miami. That's more than impressive and she simply confirmed that she currently is the best player in the world.
She also took part in a confessional segment for the Tennis Channel where players were asked with whom they would not want to take a road trip. Swiatek did not want to be negative so she flipped the question explaining with whom she would take a road trip. Her response?
"I would do a road trip with Rafael Nadal," said Swiatek. Nadal is not the only player though as she named two more WTA players as well. She chose Kaja Juvan, a tennis player she has known for many years having practically grown up together. And her occasional doubles partner Bethanie Mattek-Sands because:
"She and her husband always cook great food, so I would eat a lot, sure."
