Britian’s young tennis star
Emma Raducanu has admitted that
life never slowed down for her, even during her time away from the court because
of injuries.
The 21-year-old has recently returned to the court after
spending nearly 12 months away from the court, largely because of fitness
concerns.
Raducanu was recently quoted in a report where she talked
about how her life never slowed down during her time away from the sport and
also thanked her partner for giving her the much-needed support.
"Things never really slow down for me,” he said. “I
think people might have thought oh, injury, you must have so much time on your
hands, and no, I've actually had even less.
"I think it was all good times. My partners have really
backed me and supported me even in a year out. So anything that I can do to
give back, give extra, is really important to me."
Raducanu broke on to the scene in 2021 when she lifted the
US Open title after beating Canada’s Leylah Fernandez in the final in straight
sets with a score of 6-4, 6-3. That victory was an even more special one,
considering the fact that the former world number 10 started the competition
through the qualifying round.
