“THAT’S NOT FAIR” 😂 @WTA players try to guess some close line calls. 🧐
In a fun video posted by The Tennis Channel, American tennis player Jessica Pegula took a playful shot at WTA colleague Jelena Ostapenko while trying to judge old Hawkeye calls.
The World No.5 was joined by the likes of Caroline Wozniacki, Leylah Fernandez and Beatriz Haddad Maia in this fun activity. The ladies were asked to judge whether certain shots in matches were out or in, with their responses compared to the Hawkeye verdict.
"I think I’m usually pretty right though, like most of the time," said Pegula while watching an old Roger Federer clip. "Oh wow, that’s tough, it’s hard to see on TV though, that looks like it was out."
"In, yes it was in," said Haddad Maia after examining the same clip.
In another clip involving Ostapenko and Coco Gauff, Wozniacki and Fernandez were asked to judge the line call.
"That’s a great return. That’s for sure good," Wozniacki claimed.
"Great return. I think it’s out. Oh wow, that was way in," said Fernandez.
A second clip involving Ostapenko was displayed, with Pegula asked to chime on on the line call. The American seemingly threw shade at her Latvian colleague, who is known for being against electronic line calling.
"I mean, I don’t know, in? Although it’s Ostapenko, she always thinks it’s out," said Pegula.
