Jessica Pegula earned the 3rd point for the US sending them into the
Billie Jean King Cup finals after beating Julia Grabher 6-1 6-3.
The US team brought a really strong team to Delray Beach with Pegula and Gauff playing for their country and they delivered on the first day taking down their opponents easily in two sets. Both Gauff and Pegula were dominant giving the country a 2-0 lead and Pegula earned the clinching 3rd point today.
It was a superb display by Pegula who won the opening set 6-1 losing only 5 points on her serve and hitting 4 winners. She was even better in the second set losing only one point after her first serve though she did allow Grabher to win more games as the Austrian won three overall. It was just a solid practice match for Pegula getting the job done.
