Kasatkina critical of Vice President of Russian Tennis Federation for degrading her and her girlfriend and calling her content irrelevant

Daria Kasatkina criticised former player and the current vice president of the Russian Tennis Federation for her comments about Kasatkina and her girlfriend.

Kasatkina came out as gay in 2022 making her relationship public. It was something that was warmly embraced by fans and colleagues on the WTA Tour but less so in her native Russia. The comments by Miskina didn't mention that but they did mention how Kasatkina dealt with her coach as they parted ways following a 4-year partnership.

The Russian opened up about the split in a VLOG of her girlfriend who has been filming the behind the scenes of the career of Kasatkina. Miskina called the content irrelevant. Kasatkina's response came on Twitter as she said:

“Most likely, Anastasia is right, and our vlog is not the most interesting, and I still don’t play tennis very well, everyone has already understood this. But (how) can the Vice President of the RTF speak publicly with such negativity, and even anger, about (their) players?”
