Linda and Brenda Fruhvirtova both out of the Miami Open after day one

The super-talented Fruhvirtova sisters both played today and both lost with Brenda losing to Xiyu Wang and Linda losing to Katherine Sebov.

The loss of the younger Brenda didn't come as a surprise because she faced a really tricky player who was able to take advantage of her youth. Wang is a far stronger player and has played plenty of matches so far on the tour which was very visible in the first set 6-0. The second set 7-5 was much closer but for the most part, Wang controlled the match with ease.

Linda took the court a couple of hours later and she was a heavy favourite against Sebov but didn't play a very good match at all. She was expected to win but Sebov was able to push her around the court with ease in the first set taking it 6-2. The second one went to Fruhvirtova as she played with a better rhythm but once again fell apart in the final set.

Both players struggled with their serve as Sebov saved only 3 out of 9 break points. Fruhvirtova was even worse saving only 4 out of 12. She got broken eight times and that was simply too much.
