World number two
Aryna Sabalenka’s personal life has been in the spotlight for some time despite her success on the court.
The 26-year-old is already regarded as one of the best
players currently playing in the women’s singles category, along with Poland’s Iga
Swiatek. Sabalenka’s personal life has been under the spotlight in the recent past after her former boyfriend, Konstantin Koltsov, committed suicide earlier in March this year.
However, according to the latest report, the two-time Grand Slam winner now has a new boyfriend: Georgios Frangulis. According to reports, Frangulis is a billionaire and the CEO
of Oakberry, which sells acai-based products.
The report further stated that Oakberry has more than 700 stores worldwide. The two were spotted during the F1 Grand Prix, but neither has officially revealed their relationship status.
The report went on to state that the two are currently spending
holidays in Greece, which is interesting because her close friend
Paula Badosa also has a Greek boyfriend in Stefanos Tsitsipas. The couple, who broke up recently, got back together after a couple of weeks.
After losing in the quarterfinal, Aryna Sabalenka was knocked out of the French Open.
Sabalenka recently participated in the
French Open, where she suffered a shocking defeat in the quarterfinal to young Russian sensation Mirra Andreeva with a score of 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.
Sabalenka is having a mixed season. She started it on a brilliant note by winning the Australian Open for the second time, beating China’s Qinwen Zheng in the final in straight sets, 6-3,
6-2.
After that, she suffered some early round exits but was back
to her best just before the start of Roland Garros, playing in the
final of the Madrid and Rome Open. Unfortunately, she lost both of those finals, as the world number one Swiatek came out on
top and lifted the titles.
