Ons Jabeur bravely took on Caroline Garcia and thoroughly outplayed her to book her second straight grand slam final.
The Tunisian was majestic in this match ensuring that she did not face a single break point in the match. It's a first for Jabeur this year as she's played 56 matches before that. A lot had to do with her serve that she underlined as very important after the win:
“So important. She comes in the court and puts a lot of pressure on my second serves. I’m really glad she didn’t break me in the end -- would have been really tough to go to 5-4.”
She continued:
“After Wimbledon, a lot of pressure on me. I’m really, really relieved that I backed up my result. I’m very glad I made it to the finals here. Mentally, I was ready."
