Serena Williams and Venus Williams are the most successful tennis siblings of all time and it's hard to see how anybody will ever eclipse that. Younger sister Serena is widely regarded as the greatest female tennis player of all time and both she and Venus credited their father with their success. Talking about her father she said:
"My dad was and still is way before his time. You see, when someone is different – when they don’t act or look how a person assumed they would – the first reaction is often fear. They think, How do we break them? My dad anticipated that, but he would not allow himself or his family to be broken.”
A film about the life of Richard Williams will premiere later this year in November and the public will get to see a closer look at the life of the man who was the architect behind the immense success of the Williams sisters. His work as their primary tennis coach allowed the sisters to win a combined 30 singles grand slam titles and 14 doubles (as a pair) in their careers.
