Following the revelation by tennis player Zheng Qinwen that her coach, Wim Fisette, broke his contract to team with Naomi Osaka, tennis fans have come out in support of the Chinese star.

Zheng recently won the gold medal at the 2023 Pan Asian games, defeating compatriot Lin Zhu in the singles final. However, the 20-year old seemed upset at the ensuing press-conference, stating she was displeased with Fisette's decision to break their agreed contract.

"He broke the contract, and it is very immoral," said Zheng. "This is his choice, and I will respect that. Even though this brings some harm to me and my family, I don’t want to talk about that person right now, don’t want to talk about him."

Upon learning of the news, tennis fans lashed out at Fisette, with many deeming the act as disrespectful.

"Why are all of these wta coaches so nasty and disrespectful," one fan said.

"Need Qinwen to drag Osaka in Australia," another fan said.

"Omg not he hit her with the Darren Cahill," wrote another fan.

"I am sorry but this is unprofessional," chimed another fan.

Fisette previously coached Naomi Osaka between 2020 and 2022, leading her to Grand Slam titles at the 2020 Australian Open and the 2021 US Open.
