Rebecca Peterson was unstoppable at the Jiangxi Open in Nanchang, conquering Elena Rybakina 6-2 and 6-0 in the final.

Peterson entered the finals as a favorite when she defeated the home player Xun and then coped with Fett. Not even the Bronx Open winner Magda Linette managed to stop Peterson in the quarterfinals and in the semifinals Peterson ended the 8 match winning streak of Nina Stojanovic.
Elena Rybakina, on the other hand, lost up to 3 sets in 4 games and spent much more time on the court than her opponent. Peterson started the match ideally when she broke rival's serve right in the first game. Consequently, from a score of 4-2 in the first set, she did not lose a game to win the final match 6-2 and 6-0. Peterson claimed her first WTA title in her career as well as her first title this year.
China's doubles title was already clear before the final match, when four home players stood up on the court. But it was not expected that the winning team will be the younger pair. Peng and Zhang were highly favored, but young players Wang and Zhu were able to surprise more experienced coutrywomen and won the doubles title at the Jiangxi Open after winning 6-2 and 7-6.
