Karolina Pliskova won't be playing at the Madrid Open due to a knee injury sustained in Stuttgart last week with the Czech player confirming the news on her social media.
Pliskova has been dealing with plenty of injuries in recent years and another one will keep her away from the Madrid Open that begins on Wednesday.
She announced the news on social media explaining that she sustained in Stuttgart.
It's a big shame because Pliskova played really solid in Stuttgart and it seemed like she was finally turning the corner.
It's unclear whether she will be ready for Rome but she said that she's hopeful:
