Despite the WTA Finals not having a set location yet the race is well underway with Ashleigh Barty firmly on top.
The Australian opened the season down under in fabulous fashion. She finally solved the Australian Open riddle to win the event and become the first Australian to win in a dozen years. That along with solid results leading up to it with the Adelaide title allows her to sit firmly on top of the race. Danielle Collins is 2nd thanks to her superb run to the final in Melbourne.
Madison Keys is number 3 with Iga Swiatek at number 4. The rest of the top 10 are consist of Barbora Krejcikova at number 5, Paula Badosa at 6, Simona Halep and Amanda Anisimova at number 7 with the same number of points.
