With the end of the Bronx Open in New York, the start of the last Grand Slam of this year, which is set just a few kilometers away, is approaching.

All four players who played in the semifinals already know their opponents in the first round of the US Open. But at the NYJTL Bronx Open, they focused on winning the title.
But only two of these players got the chance to win the title close and the other two are ready to go to Flushing Meadows.
In the first match, Linette and Siniakova met. It was the Polish qualifier who played the seventh match at the tournament when she succeeded in the qualifying and then fought her way to the semifinals.
During this road to glory, she lost only one set and so she wanted to fight for a chance to get into final, where she could win her first WTA title, against Siniakova.
The match did not start ideally for Linette when she lost her first service, but then managed to get it back and the first set reached the tie-break. Linette managed to win it and took the lead after the first set. In the second set, the Polish qualifier dominated and won it 6-2.
In the next match, the first seeded Wang and the great playing Giorgi met. Giorgi wanted to add a third win in a row against this Chinese rival, but the match didn't start ideally for her.
The Italian has already led 2-0 in the first set, but then lost 5 games in a row and lost the first set 6-4. She was able to win the second set 6-4 as well and the third set was needed to decide this match.
There it was Wang who first got to match ball and had a total of 4, but did not use any. On the other hand, Giorgi took her second chance and will play in the final.

Semi-final results:

Linette M. (Pol) 2 77 6
Siniakova K. (Cze) 0 63 2
Wang Q. (Chn) 1 6 4 66
