Rybakina extends winning streak, battles past Pegula to seal spot in 2023 Miami Open final

Elena Rybakina will face the winner of Petra Kvitova or Sorana Cirstea in the final of the 2023 Miami Open as she looks to complete the Sunshine Double and cement her status alongside Iga Swiatek atop WTA Tennis.
Rybakina saw off Jessica Pegula in a hard fought 7-6, 6-4 scoreline with the Wimbledon champion not producing her best tennis this week but like champions do, she is finding a way to win.
She could become the fifth woman in history to claim the Sunshine Double with Swiatek doing so last year. But she had to rally from a break down three times in the opening set before taking it to a tiebreak.
The second set was similar as she had to battle back from 3-0 down winning six of the final seven games in order to claim the win and her first career victory over Pegula in three attempts.
