After
Yulia Putintseva gave Kazakhstan a 1-0 lead over Poland,
Elena Rybakina stepped up and gave her country a 2-0 lead with a decisive win at the
Billie Jean King Cup.
Kazakhstan was heavily favoured in the Bille Jean King Cup qualifiers because Poland is playing without Iga Swiatek.
The Polish player will play in Stuttgart next week but she's not available this week for her country. Due to that, we saw Linette step up to take on Putintseva and early on she had a lead.
The Kazakh player was able to turn it around taking the first set 7-5. She kept playing well and took the second set 6-3 giving her country the lead 1-0. After that, we saw Rybakina take on Falkowska and expectedly it was a really solid performance from Rybakina who won 6-3 6-4. Falkowska played well and tried everything but Rybakina was not to be denied.
