In a battle between two ferocious strikers of the ball, Aryna Sabalenka prevailed in her third round clash against Marketa Vondrousova to reach the fourth round at the Australian Open.
The second seed rallied from a set down to secure a 4-6 6-3 6-1 victory, overcoming ten double faults in the process. Sabalenka has struggled with her serve this year, hitting at least 10 double faults in every match played this season.

Nonetheless, the Belarusian was able to utilize her powerful groundstrokes to over her Czech opponent, even after Vondrousova had claimed the opening set. Sabalenka played with renewed vigor for the rest of the match, hitting winners at will as she overpowered the 31st seed to advance to the fourth round after an hour and 49 minutes.
The World No.2 will face Estonia's Kaia Kanepi for a spot in the quarterfinals.
