Sabine Lisicki is keeping up the good play at ITF events as she battled past Arianne Hartono 7-6(0) 6-2 to advance to the next stage of the event.
Lisicki has been playing some very good tennis lately as she's attempting to come back to tennis. The veteran racked up quite a few years but she seems fit enough to compete at a pretty decent level. She probably won't be winning titles but last year on the grass in Germany, Lisicki proved that she can stay with the best.
Hartono isn't considered one of the best but she's a fairly capable tennis player that had some solid moments in Australia. It was a straight-sets win for Lisicki with the first set ending in a tiebreak. Lisicki actually dropped her serve first in the match but broke right back to make it 3-3. After that we saw the players trade breaks for a while until we finally ended up in the tie-break.
Lisicki smashed her opponent in the tiebreak taking it 7-0 with the confidence proving crucial for Lisicki in the final set. She outplayed her opponent easily to take it 6-2 and finish off the very solid match from her side.
