Sara Errani was once a very good tennis player playing her best tennis on clay and she's still doing although her level is not as good as it once way.
The Italian has been one of the best clay players for a few years many years ago but the veteran is still playing tennis on a decent level. It's not the level she once had but it's still good enough to take out players like Teichmann who are very hard to beat when they play their own best tennis. It was a really good match from Errani because she had a lot of inspiration.
A win for the grandmother
Errani was very emotional during the match celebrating the win passionately and it's due to her grandmother passing away recently. She watched all the matches of Errani and the win was dedicated to her. It meant a lot to the Italian who said after the match:
“My grandmother watched all my matches. This win is for her. It's hard to be away from home when these things happen, away from my parents, my mom. On 1 hand, I'm sorry to be here”
