Schwartzman, Cirstea with 2nd point, Tsitsipas victorious at Virtual Madrid Open

It was the second game of the day for both Diego Schwartzman and Sorana Cirstea. Both showed a great level of play in their first games and so they could secure the quarterfinals in their 2nd matches. For Stefanos Tsitsipas, who is considered to be one of the biggest favorites of the tournament, it was the first game against Fabio Fognini.

Schwartzman faced John Isner in his second match. It was the first match for the tall American, and Diego showed experience from the previous match. He triumphed 3-1 to become the leader of Group 2.

Sorana Cirstea who is also in Group 2 in WTA's draw, played Elina Svitolina in her second match. The Romanian showed a great performance in her first match against Johanna Konta when she lost only 1 point. Now, she faced Elina Svitolina who is one of the favorites. Sorana was losing already 0-2 but turned the match around to win 4-2 and get her 2nd point in the group.

For Stefanos Tsitsipas, it was the first match at the Virtual Madrid Open. The Greek faced Fabio Fognini and so the two played the first match of Group 3. Stefanos showed a dominant performance when he defeated the Italian 3-0 to get the first point of the competition.
