Although she is considered one of the elder stateswomen on tour,
Serena Williams still moves like a top-tier athlete and recently revealed what she eats to stay in top condition.
In an interview with Women's Health, the 39-year old stated that she "eats to live" and often skips breakfast.
"I often don't make breakfast because I just forget or I'm running around getting Olympia [her daughter] ready and then I go work out," said Williams. "When I roll out of bed in the morning, I'm just not hungry."
The 23-time Grand Slam champion added that her philosophy regarding food is to treat it as something required to live, and not just as a treat. Furthermore, the Former World No.1 revealed she has lately been incorporating more plant-based foods into her diet.
"My philosophy is eat to live. Don't live to eat," added Williams. "I want to have a healthy lifestyle and, so you know, a lot of greens and mostly plant-based lately, just super healthy stuff.
"You need it to survive. And that's very hard to live by, cause I definitely love to snack, but this is what I want. These are my goals."
