The 23-time Major champion Serena Williams will travel to Adelaide in a couple of days, embracing a two-week quarantine ahead of the season's first Major tournament in Melbourne.
On Tuesday, Serena and her daughter Olympia hit the tennis court at their home, with the three-year-old preparing to smash the green ball with her small racquet. The technique is already there, and her mother could only smile while watching her kid enjoying her time on the court. Olympia took her first tennis lessons in October last year, and she will probably spend more and more time on the court as she grows up.
Serena will seek the eighth Australian Open title in February, and the first in four years, winning the previous one in 2017 over her sister Venus in the title match. That was Serena's 23rd and so far the last Major title, losing four final at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2018 and 2019 and hoping to take that extra step in the season ahead of us.
Serena is currently ranked 11th, and she is still motivated to chase that elusive 24th Major title.
