Aryna Sabalenka showcased her best tennis in the Abu Dhabi final, defeating Kudermetova and winning the trophy.
It was a spectacular run for Sabalenka in Abu Dhabi and it ended perfectly for her. Kudermetova proved to be no match for her as the Belarussian defeated the Russian 6-2 6-2 in the final. The opening set started well for Kudermetova who hung on early but Aryna took over as the match went on. The Russian could not win any point on her 2nd serve and it proved her doom. Sabalenka was aggressive and won the opening set 6-2.
The 2nd set followed a similar pattern only this time Sabalenka could not defend her own serve that easily as she did in the previous set. Ultimately it mattered little as Kudermetova could not win her own service games either. The Belarussian continuously attacked Kudermetova and she had no answer for it. The Russian showed a bit of fight at the end of the match breaking Sabalenka once more but she could not win her next game which gave Aryna the victory in just over 60 minutes of play.
