"She already did it six times" - Rick Macci on Williams winning US Open

Rick Macci firmly believes Serena Williams can win the 2022 US Open and his reasoning is simple, she has already done it six times.

The last time Serena Williams won the US Open was in 2014 she played two finals since then. In 2018 Naomi Osaka triumphed in the infamous 'Carlos Ramos US Open final' with Bianca Andreescu stunning Williams in 2019.

Her childhood coach Rick Macci still believes she can do it in 2022 and finish off her career in a legendary way. Growing tired of fans repeatedly asking him whether she can do it, Macci took to Twitter to express his opinion clearly writing:

"Everybody is asking can Serena Williams win the US OPEN, My answer is she already did 6 times."

In 1999, the 23-time Grand Slam champion won the US Open andit was her first Grand Slam singles crown. She won again in 2002 and 2008 before winning three consecutive championships from 2012 to 2014. This will be the final one she will ever play.
