Noted tennis coach Paula Annacone was impressed with Iga Swiatek and how comfortable she was in the big rallies.
Pretty much all the big points in the match between Swiatek and Jabeur were won by the Polish player. The Tunisian had chances in the second set but each time Swiatek responded with a brilliant shot. The only way Jabeur forced the match to go to tiebreak was a serving clinic late in the set where she would hit incredible serves on break points.
Annacone noted the high she brought to key rallies by saying:
"She continues to get more and more confident in the big moments. This is gonna be trouble for a lot of women on the women's tour."
He also further added:
"That's just amazing to think about. Alright 21 years of age, her third major. It was just a couple of years ago we were wondering what this potential was gonna look like," said Paul. "Cut to 23 months, how about three majors, she is in the Hall of Fame. She is 21 years of age, these are just building blocks.
