Simona Halep has missed the Roland Garros due to injury but the Romanian ace announced her return to tennis at the Bad Homburg Open.
Simona Halep has several weeks of action due to an injury but she shared some exciting news today on her official Twitter page. Halep posted a short video announcing her return to tennis at the Bad Homburg Open in Germany. The event is a grass-court event from the WTA 250 category.
It will run one week before Wimbledon from June 20th till June 26th. It will be the only grass court event Halep will play ahead of the Wimbledon as she works her way to be fully fit for the Grand Slam. In the video Halep said:
"Hey guys, I have some good news to share with you. I am super excited to announce I will be playing for the first edition in Bad Homburg and I am looking forward to seeing all the fans in the stands. See you very soon."
