Spanish star Carla Suarez Navarro continues to display her fighting spirit as she undergoes treatment for Hodgkin Lymphoma.
The former World No.6 was diagnosed earlier this year and revealed that she would be undergoing six months of chemotherapy. Hodgkin Lymphoma is a form of cancer that originates in the lymphatic system, which plays a huge role in the body's ability to fight off infections.
However, Suarez Navarro has not let this setback demoralize her spirit, as the World No.83 posted a video on Instagram of her rallying with fellow player and good friend Sara Errani on a court in Barcelona.
The Spaniard revealed in October that she had begun therapy and frequently updates her fans of her progress. Four weeks ago, she shared footage in which she was lifting weights.
"Following the medical advice and taking steps with hope and optimism," Suarez Navarro said in an earlier post. "Many thanks for your warm messages during the past few days."
In November, she expressed more optimism as she continued her treatments, stating "Step by step, there's less to go now. We're going for another week of treatment."
We wish Suarez Navarro the best as she continues to make progress in her treatment and recovery.
